Ribs are narrow shoulders that protrude from the raceway surface parallel to the rolling direction and are used to support and guide the rolling elements and keep them in the bearing. The detailed classification of retaining rings are: taper pin locking retaining ring, screw locking retaining ring, screw locking retaining ring with locking ring, steel wire retaining ring, retaining ring for holes-A type, retaining ring for holes-B type , Shaft retaining ring-A type, shaft retaining ring-B type, screw fastening shaft end retaining ring, bolt fastening shaft end retaining ring, wire retaining ring for hole, wire retaining ring for shaft, etc. The fixing of parts on the shaft is divided into axial fixing and circumferential fixing. Axial fixation methods include: shoulder or collar fixation, shaft end retaining ring or conical surface fixation, shaft sleeve fixation, round nut fixation, and elastic retaining ring fixation. The retaining ring mainly plays the role of axial fixation, in which the conical surface and the retaining ring are fixed with a high degree of centering. The retaining ring of the rolling bearing is equivalent to a movable retaining edge, which is used for retaining the rollers and is convenient for installation. The structure of the retaining ring includes a flat retaining ring, an inclined retaining ring and a middle retaining ring.
