Material chemical composition (%): carbon: 0.62 - 0.70, silicon: 0.17 - 0.37, manganese: 0.90 - 1.20, phosphorus ≤ 0.035, sulfur ≤ 0.035, nickel ≤ 0.25, chromium ≤ 0.25, copper ≤ 0.25 Material characteristics: It is a carbon spring steel with a wide range of uses. Compared with 65 steel, it has higher strength, hardness, elasticity and hardenability. The critical hardening diameter is generally 30~50mm in water, and generally 16-32mm, there is a tendency to overheat sensitivity and tempering brittleness during heat treatment, and it is easy to crack during water quenching. Generally, oil quenching is used. Section size>80 should be water quenched and oil cooled: after annealing, the machinability is good, but the cold deformation plasticity is low. Welding performance is poor.
